artist statement

I have always enjoyed photographing events and objects. I always take the opportunity to bring my camera along in hopes of capturing a beautiful moment in time. The vibrant colors of sunsets in the evening are stunning and one of my favorite things. I'm from rural Vermont, therefore most of my photogrpahy is of nature and natural things.

I walked across RPI campus the Friday morning after classes were cancelled because of the ice storm. I was amazed at the beauty of the ice on everything from cars and street signs to tree branches and bushes. I immediately got my camera and walked back around campus to capture and "freeze" the beautiful objects sculptured by the ice.
