I am commenting on human apathy and group mentality. It could be said that our society has become very much like an assembly line, with certain individuals conditioned to perform certain jobs. After performing these jobs, the people are reused, in a manner of speaking, by the ways of reproduction or change in vocation. I want to actually visualize the individual as part of the assembly line, being created, used, and finally recycled. One of the stages in this cycle of production and recycling is the individual feeding on group apathy, and the apathy then feeding the process.
For this project, I’ll be integrating work and concepts from two of my other projects, as well as new work, to create a semi-linear journey through this process. The character in this journey will be a robot, a metaphor for humanity.
