LIVING METAPHORS—Art, Text and the Body . . . is a First Year Studies course I am teaching at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. We have been exploring the metaphor of "transitions" in this class.As a project, the students are sewing "blankies" for kitten cages to be donated to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/S.P.C.A. in Hudson, NY.
