Inclusion/Exclusion

This particular project was right up my ally in terms of my experience. I have always loved photographing things especially in new and creative ways. I particularly like composing my shots in ways that are unique or give the person looking at the photo a view the normally wouldn't have.

Again I chose to go with a firefighting theme just due to circumstances. During the same week that we had this assignment our new ladder truck was delivered and I was asked to take some photos of it for the Fire Department. I did so in my normal style and used them for this project as well. I chose to put them in black and white becuase it just seemed appropriate, I feel like you get more from them without the color. Also I felt that with the long history of firefighting in this country a old/new age look was most appropriate for these pictures.

Truck 4 Ladder

One of my personal favorites, this is the boom of our new ladder truck, capturing the Brunswick No. 1 sign.

Truck 4

This is picture looking down the side of Truck 4. Truck 4 had just arrived that day and was still being checked over.

Truck 4 Reflection

This is an artistic shot of the side cabinent of Truck 4, as you can see it is extremely reflective and you can make out the other bay door.

Keep Back 300ft

In this shot I played with the aperature a little and got the effect of greater distance through depth perception.

Old 4-4

This is old 4-4, a very nice pumper that has served Brunswick No. 1 well. She was unfortunately sold in March and will be well missed around the firehouse.
