Bio/Nano Website - 2007
Artist Statement
The biological is a facinating thing to study. Since I first looked in a biology book diagram of a cell, I was facinated by the structures and processies. Perticularaly, I was facinated with flying between the inner and outer lipid layers of the cell membrane, dodging between the hydrophobic tails.
Massively Multiplayer Games have always struggled with the chalange of making their worlds live and dynamic. There is nothing more alive and changing than a living organism. Cells divide, the organism grows, it eats, it moves, it brathes. Cells die and are replaced. This very dynamic environment provides a facinating world to play in. In addition, with units such as cells, the game world can grow with the player base. Events like viral attacks and the death of a constituent cell would be felt throught the world.
With this website, I have endevored to discribe my idea of a great MMO that I would love to make.
