Byeong Sam Jeon is an internationally recognized electronic artist and
interdisciplinary researcher whose interests include Telematic Culture,
Robotic Arts, Information Visualization, Interactive Systems, Post Human
Theories with Cyborgs, Human Networks & Global Communications and
Minority Issues. His work is driven by his belief that technology
enables all sorts of people to deepen and enhance interpersonal
communication. His research addresses the theme of social interaction
between groups of people from different backgrounds. As an
interdisciplinary practitioner, he creates bridges to build healthy
relationships among people and encourages them to consider the importance
of communication.
For a decade, Byeong Sam has actively presented his art and technology
research projects in several international and national venues including
the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference (San Diego, USA), SIGGRAPH
(LA, USA), the International Symposium of Interactive Media Design
(Istanbul, Turkey), ASIAGRAPH (Shanghai, China), ArtBots (Dublin,
Ireland), Uijeongbu International Digital Art Festival (Seoul, Korea),
Salon International Digital Art Exhibit (Havana, Cuba), SIGGRAPH ASIA
(Singapore), National theater of Korea (Seoul, Korea), Total Museum of
Contemporary Art (Seoul, Korea), and many others.
