Tara Mateik, founder of the Society of Biological Insurgents, and the
Yes Men, an "identity correction" collective, present performative
lectures as subversive as they are witty. Mateik models the legendary
"Battle of the Sexes" tennis match in Putting the Balls Away, and the
Yes Men unveil their new SurvivaBall costume.
Show and Tell is curated by Marisa Olson, Editor and Curator,
Rhizome.org, as a component of their 10th Anniversary Festival of Art &
Technology. Rhizome is a leading new media arts organization, and an
affiliate of the New Museum of Contemporary Art.

A video installation of an essay film meditating on the 1977 Oscars and a documentary on Rhodesia which aired at the same time one month and one day before the essay filmmaker, Maureen Jolie Anderson, was born.
