Meltz’s work in this group exhibition is part of his Laborers series, in which he uses printmaking, collage, video, and sculpture to critically investigate the intersection of labor and technology.  Told through images and narratives of robotic characters in technological dystopias, Laborers shows technology’s influence on the institutions of school, war, and the factory as characters struggle to escape jobs that threaten to bore, brainwash, and kill them.
