Arts Lecturer Ken Ragsdale Receives Commission for Public Installation

Ken Ragsdale, lecturer in the Department of the Arts in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, has received a commission from the Port of Portland (Oregon) to install his work “The Quest” in the international wing of the Portland International Airport. This opportunity is being promoted and funded specifically through the auspices of the PDX Art and Music Program. The construction and installation will take place over a two-week period during the winter break, and will remain on view to the public through 2014.

Join us for a screening and discussion of the riveting documentary chronicling the struggles of a group of black and Latino whistleblower cops and the young minorities they are pressured to arrest and summons in New York City.

A workshop “Storytelling at the Margins,” with the film’s director/producer/cinematographer/editor Stephen Maing, will precede the screening from 4-6pm.
