Media Conversion Studio

Location: West Hall-318

This is a high definition postproduction video studio with a high end Mac G5 workstation running the latest Final Cut Studio Suite of software. It also supports Media dubbing, Media format conversions, and video post productions allowing for end users to change formats from older or archive media such as VHS, Hi 8mm, UMATIC etc… into a more usable digital medium for today’s post production projects.

Current room Status

Open: Card access required for those who are enrolled into an Arts Course using this studio. To report a problem or if you have a question about this space please e-mail us hasshelp@rpi.edu ***** NOTICE***** On 9/28/09 the dubbing equipment racks will be removed for service repairs and upgrades. The racks should be back in the room for proper operation by 12/12/09. Also, the room is going to be freshly painted before the end of the semester. Please contact engine-l@lists.rpi.edu if you need assistance with capturing archived content during this time. We can setup the equipment you need on the side etc...
