Last time I saw Andrew he was playing unamplified acoustic bass in a duo with someone playing feedback through two maxed-out subwoofers.  That's true grit.  Since I first met Bryan, he reinvented the saxophone, then the reel-to-reel machine, and then went on to invent a suitcase instrument that simultaneously reinvents the iPod and the sine tone.

Vic and Mike's trio MAWJA, with trumpeter Mazen Kerbaj (Beirut), just finished a weeklong residency at STEIM, the center for electronic music research in Amsterdam NL.  They've been a duo since 2000.  Their music will be the difference between Dutch coffee and Famous Lunch coffee.
