Indifference to Science

January 20, 2006 9:00 AM - 9:00 AM

INDIFFERENCE TO SCIENCE Five RPI artists will show a selection from their recent undergrad work in a special show in RPI’s West Hall 111 Gallery. Pieces will greatly range in subject, spanning many different mediums and styles. Most of the work that will be showcased was completed during the Fall 2005 semester, while the students were completing independent study courses. The show’s themes will include political satire, challenging gender stereotypes, interactive space, physical mediums blended with rendered images, America’s new society of fear, and images depicting the desolate and somewhat decrepit neighborhood. The five artists included in the show will present several pieces, and in some instances, more than one body of work. Artists presenting their work in this show will include: Melissa Batalin, Kurtis Albright, Crossman Wilkins, Anthony Donaldson and Ethan Fuchs. An opening is scheduled for January 20th. Refreshments will be served from 4:30-6:00pm. The show will continue to be open until February 22nd, gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4:30pm.
