WORKS BY S. BIONDOLILLO Gallery 111 West Hall on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute August 29-September 30
ARTIST STATEMENT: How did I get here. My god what have I done... BIO: Children, savages, and true believers remember far less what they have seen than what they have heard. Biondolillo is a studio engineer and teaches digital imaging in the Arts department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is a working artist with studios in Troy, NY and New Paltz, NY. She has exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Center in North Adams, Massachusetts, Franklin Furnace in NYC, and Deep Listening Space in Kingston, NY among others. Her recent assemblage works are also on exhibit in the first floor display case at the Albany Public Library on Washington Avenue as part of the Albany Center Galleries. “Biondolillo builds environmental assemblages that cobble together old toys, leftovers from yard sales, and odd objects that have almost forgotten their original purpose, all of which should combine to provoke any number of responses from any given viewer.” – Beth Wilson, Chronogram.com “She is definitely one to watch.” – David Brickman, Metroland S.
