“nötr” is an asymmetrical loudspeaker architecture to be performed in EMPAC Studio 1 on 4/20. It is comprised of an irregular mix of speakers with varying qualities, sizes and shapes, in line with the acousmonium concept in electronic music. The composition aims to be “neutral” towards the space, enabling the entire room to listen, explore and meditate in.

This talk discusses the exciting new opportunities for educational exchange for Games students at GSAS at Rensselaer, and students studying games at University of Skövde in Sweden. The talk will provide inspiration for students to seek international experiences as an essential part of their education and future careers, also providing an overview of the Swedish games industry, and academic-industry collaborations and links such as the incubator Sweden Game Arena. This talk will also provide inspiration to Games faculty for ways that international collaborations can be structured, including a reflection on the University of Skövde and Worcester Polytechnic Institute “Global Game Classroom” initiative.
