Curriculum:
The curriculum requires 60 credit hours of coursework at Rensselaer with at least 30 credit hours in 6000 level courses.
Course requirements:
Three History or Theory courses, including Electronic Arts Overview (ARTS-6110), taken the first semester.
Graduate Media Skills (ARTS-6963), taken the first semester.
Arts Practicum (ARTS-4050), working with an artist-in-residency or the equivalent.
Electronic Arts Practice (ARTS-6080) or Master’s Thesis (ARTS-6990) every semester of residency.
One to nine credits of Master's Thesis, which includes a public performance, exhibition, or presentation, a written thesis (minimum 30 pages), and an oral defense.
Non credit requirements:
Participation in critiques at the end of each semester. Public performance or exhibition of work each semester. Demonstration of competency with two Qualifying Reviews.
