Curriculum:
The curriculum requires 60 credit hours of coursework at Rensselaer with at least 30 credit hours in 6000 level courses.

Course requirements:
Three History or Theory courses, including Electronic Arts Overview (ARTS-6110), taken the first semester.

Professional Collaboration (ARTS-4050), working with an artist-in-residency or the equivalent.

Electronic Arts Practice (ARTS-6080) taken in the Fall semester of each year.

Two to nine credits of Master's Thesis (ARTS 6990), taken in both the Fall and Spring semesters of the second year.  Thesis includes a publicly presented project/performance/exhibition, a written thesis paper (minimum 30 pages), and an oral defense.

Non credit requirements:
Participation in critiques at the end of each semester prior to completion of Master's Thesis. Public performance or exhibition of work each semester. Demonstration of competency in interdisciplinary electronic arts with two Qualifying Reviews.
