Elizabeth Press is a media producer and educator based in Troy, NY. She began her career as a producer for the independent TV/radio program Democracy Now! in New York, and has has taught classes at New York University, The New School, and several after-school and community media centers in the New York City area. As a freelance videographer, producer and editor, she has worked with BRIC Arts Media, The International Institute for Sustainable Development, StreetFilms, GritTV with Laura Flanders, and PBS.
Her own art work focuses on documentary and short-form advocacy media. She is currently in production on an audio art series profiling organizers in Troy, where she is now based. Press holds an MFA in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and was the resipient of a Fulbright Scholarship in 2001. She completed her undergraduate studies at Ithaca College with a BA in Anthropology and a concentration in Photography.
