i'm planning on basing my 
instrument on a 2' x 3' steel frame, stung with heavy gauge strings like 
those for a bass guitar or piano. the strings will cross the frame in an 
interlinked web configuartion. i would like to be able to both pluck the 
strings for oscilatory data as well as bend the strings for tension data. as 
of right not i'm starting to weld the frame and research the sensors. if 
you ahve any suggestions for a heavy duty spring sensor (perhaps one 
from an electical scale?) i'd appreciate them.
